SolSolutions Releases SolMan Lithium Battery Mobile Solar Generator
Northern California alternative energy company utilizes latest lithium battery technology for their SolMan line of mobile solar energy systems
Willits, California – Jul 20, 2010 – Northern Californiabased alternative energy solutions company, SolSolutions, announced this week the availability of the Lithium battery model of their line of SolMan mobile solar generators. Utilizing the advantages of lithium battery technology goes beyond the limitations of traditional battery storage capacity, enabling not only extended periods of use, but also higher wattage output.
Over the past year, the original SolMan mobile solar generator has been distributed to enthusiastic reviews for providing green, silent, portable power to homesteads, vineyards and local festivals and events. The SolMan Lithium battery model of solar generator significantly increases solar power storage capacity, enabling a higher wattage continuous output and extends the applications in which the SolMan generator can be used.
SolSolutions CEO, Chaz Peling said, “The addition of the lithium battery model effectively doubles the electric storage capacity, halves the weight, and triples the cycle life, as compared to the current lead-acid based deep cycle batteries we are using in the SolMan.”
SolMan generators are all in one solar power generators, with photovoltaic (PV) panels, built-in charge controllers and inverters, enabling even non-technical types to simply plug in and power anything that uses standard AC power, as well as 12 volt DC power, The generators are designed to produce silent, clean power at remote sites or anywhere electricity is needed for temporary or long-term reliable power. The SolMan generators provide alternative energy anywhere a standard gas-powered generator would be used.
SolSolutions began manufacturing and retail operations of the SolMan in Willits last Fall. Their line of mobile solar generators includes the Action Packer, the flagship SolMan and now the SolMan lithium mobile solar generator.
The 600 watt Action Packer is ultra portable and small enough to fit in the trunk of a car. The 1200 watt SolMan is a self contained unit on wheels, allowing the generator to be easily moved to wherever the sun shines. The new lithium battery SolMan retains the same two-wheeled design, offering 2000 watts of power, with 12 lithium batteries onboard, offering 480 amp hours of storage. All their generators are available in standard and custom configurations and sizes, expandable PV input and other options.
SolMan mobile solar generators have been well received. Most recently, the Action Packer has been utilized by a local non-profit to operate a fundraising car wash & vacuum operation. The SolMan has been utilized for off grid living, agricultural water pumping, powering art & music installations. The natural extension of these popular products was to develop a deluxe model that could break through the barriers of battery storage, enabling greater application of point of use solar technology. The lithium battery SolMan has been successful in providing long draws of solar green power at local events and most recently at the Oregon Country Fair.
“The SolMan is a practical power solution for remote events, outdoor concerts, construction sites, emergency response, remote telecommunications, and temporary or long-term site power.” said Peling. “The flexible solar power systems are well suited for a variety of uses and markets.”
Solar power has been used reliably in remote locations for decades. “We are making remote solar power easy to deploy with a rugged, high quality, plug and play, point of use mobile platform, built to last, that actually delivers personal, efficiently used green electricity that you can depend on.”
